When Next You Go Poem by Godwin Henry Osaigbovo

When Next You Go

When Next You Go

The grass they say is greener on the other side,
But yet it might be infested with wild worms
and strange animals.
Anyways, take me along when next you go
'Better to see the hills once than hear about it a thousand times'.

The most beautiful thing in the world is, of course, the world itself.
But then, the pressure of our complex third - world city life thins my blood and numbs my brain;
What would be ugly in our country
Constitutes beauty in others.
Please, take me along when next you go

The many 'you have got to discover you, what you do and trust it, doesn't work here anymore.
But then there is the most dangerous risk of all — the risk of spending one's life not doing what you want on the bet you can buy yourself the freedom to do it later.
Anyways, take me along when next you go
'Better to see a mountain once than hear about it a thousand times'.
