When Night Be Still As This Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

When Night Be Still As This

When night be still as this
Though Time ruthless run the same
I shall be seat me
Under the boughs of this vast garden-tree
And in that dulcet reverie
Hear the leaves falling
Grinding to the ground and soil
Dust where the seeds begun.
