When Silence Speaks Poem by poppy miller

When Silence Speaks

Rating: 3.5

She wore that bright sweater
Like a breast plate.

It said things like:

It covers the back too. (knives impenetrable)

Chew the cud before you speak.

I have the facts so don't assume.

I've faced bigger and come through.

It said
 If you're behind me,
You're behind me for a reason.

And…watch my lips, they're all smiling;

Watch my eyes they're all knowing.

And it also said
,
My silence is my strength

And I'm just tickety boo.
