Who Was That Woman? Poem by poppy miller

Who Was That Woman?

Rating: 4.0

WHO WAS THAT WOMAN?

Who was that woman?
The reflection in the glass?
The eyes looked the same
But the look? a different lass
Her outlook - totally different
Her loyalty had taken a fall
For she had cared about everything
But now - she no longer cares at all.

One day you will realise who she was.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Tom Billsborough 26 March 2016

A short and deceptively simple poem written with genuine depth. Reminds me of one of my favourite poets, the modern Italian poet, Guiseppe Ungaretti. If you haven't read him, give him a try. Tom Billsborough
