The sun sets in the West
Ten boys, on Evening feast
Play 'mid land, and push
Each-other to see the sun through bush.
The road is dusty beside
In river breaks the tide
The bullock-cart runs trembling on road
And fishes there swim on eternal mod.
The chirping birds are back to nest
They jostle in haste
To reach their dear one
Who shone alone in moan.
The school boys and girls hear to bell
'You may go home now', bell-beats tell
And they scuttle all around
A grocer, nearby, becomes spell-bound.
