When The Heart Turns Red Poem by Lacie Hebert

When The Heart Turns Red

A tear that falls, a silent scream,
A shattered hope, a fading dream.
A smile that hides what eyes reveal,
A secret wound that refuses to heal.

A broken heart, a laugh that's fake,
A promise made that time will break.
So many shadows, so much sorrow,
Still searching for a brighter tomorrow.

Leave behind the days that hurt,
The empty roads, the endless dirt.
The past is gone, it can't be changed,
But tomorrow's path can be rearranged.

For every heart that turns to stone,
There's still a chance to find its own.
A spark can grow, a flame can start,
And bring the color back to a darkened heart.

So keep believing, hold on tight,
Even the darkest skies find light.
The pain may fade, the wounds may mend—
A broken heart can beat again.
