When the Lord talks to you,
Does She ever scold?
Can you tell by Her voice, that She's very old?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She ever raise Her voice?
Does She ever give you a choice?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She ever yell?
Can you even tell?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She ever joke?
Can you even tell, that She has spoke?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She whisper in you ear?
Does She ever make you shake or fear?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She make you feel smart,
Right from the start?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does She give you a chance,
To tell Her, your stance?

When the Lord talks to you,
Does Her voice ever glisten?
Do you ever really listen?

When the Lord talks to you,
I believe you should say,
That you pray to Her, almost every day!
