When The Sun Sets Poem by Adeaze Tinkerbelle

When The Sun Sets

When the sun sets
I look out
Into the horizon
As I remember
I look back on the laughter, tears
The sweet wind blowing back your gold locks
Whispering our names, together forever
The pink clouds making a heart in the sky
The wonderful soaring feeling in my heart
When you hold my hand
The golden sun
Glancing off the waters below
Sinking oh so slowly behing the hills
Those were the good years
Until you went away
I cared about you
But you said you would never return
But you would always love me
Those words changed the meaning of sunsets
But even though I know you will not return
The sunset is not an end
Only a beginning
As you begin again
Remember:
I love you too.
