Beauty Poem by Adeaze Tinkerbelle

Beauty

Rating: 5.0

The simple young girl
Thought she needed everything
To be beautiful
But she didn't
But she didn't know that
So she rushed out to find
The clothes
The hair
The makeup
And then to seek the boys
Dusting powder to her cheeks
Shallow lip pools of gloss
Charisma, beauty, power
All she saw
And she went too fast
And she ended as she began
But worse
Blackened eyes
Purple lips
Stringy hair
Yellow teeth
Scraggly nails
Girls gone wild
Never to return
As the powerful queen
That she was forever
Forever lost
Into reality

Good one, Dallas; wonderful writing. Material beauty, superficial beauty leads us to nothingness. Cheers, BWF.

So true - beautiful is not everything. I see so many people who think that, and it makes me sad. They should read this poem. -Lydia
