When Words Have Wings Poem by Robert Haigh

When Words Have Wings

Rating: 5.0

When words have wings, and each line sings,
The writer should take pride.
Woman or man, each poet can
Bring forth that magic ride!

Words combined can woo the mind
To make us laugh or cry.
Artistic bent, with true intent,
Can lift us to the sky!

I love to read (at no great speed)
A poem so well penned.
It stirs the soul and lets one stroll
Through scenes that can transcend!

When words have wings, and each line sings,
The poet should be praised.
If we are awed we should applaud,
As well as be amazed!
