When you look at me,
what do you see,
a girl with a smile upon her face,
yes, i know this is the case.

But will you please take a little time,
to read this poem line for line,
you see im not happy inside,
many nights ive just laid and cried.

Im afraid to sleep at night,
afraid to turn out the light,
I dont want to cry anymore,
I now just want to close that door.

I still dream of what he did to me,
how he would never let me be free,
but now, i must just stop writing,
and on my own carry on frighting.
