When You'Re Gone Poem by Sasha Claire Beckains

When You'Re Gone

Each day that passes by,
reminds me of goodbye.
Wanting to keep you here,
wanting to keep you near.

I just don't understand,
why you have to go...
why it has to be this way...
why couldn't you say no?

You had a choice to stay,
but you took the offer anyway.
So when I heard that day,
there wasn't a word I could say.

I cried that night so painfully,
knowing you were going...
knowing never again,
would I be able to see your face.

That sweet smile I'll always remember.
Your sparkly eyes I'll always treasure.
Your soft touch I'll always cherish.
your soft voice I'll always miss.

Know I'll always be thinking of you,
wishing you'd come back.
Wishing every minute that you'd move back.
Wishing every second that you'll be thinking of me too.
