I don't understand why you can't see,
The way your words are breaking me.
The anger, the shouting, the pain you bring,
The way it takes away everything.

Open your eyes, just look at me,
Remember who we used to be.
You once knew every thought I had,
You knew my smiles, you knew my sad.

But time has changed the way we are,
And now it feels like we've drifted far.
The love we had feels lost somehow,
A distant memory from then to now.

My tears fall down, my head starts to ache,
My heart feels like it's bound to break.
I search for answers, I search for why,
While silently asking myself not to cry.

What did I do to make you believe
That I'm not enough for you to see?
Why does it feel like nothing I do
Can ever be the right thing for you?

We used to dream beneath the same sky,
Now we stand apart and wonder why.
Our hopes and hearts no longer align,
Like two different worlds crossing a line.

I don't want to fight, I don't want to fall,
I just want to feel loved through it all.
I want the person who knew me before,
The one who saw me and loved me more.
