when i go to your place
do not welcome me
with flowers
not with a streamer
i am no
v.i.p.
not a star of the show
the flowers are for the dead
and i am coming home
alive
welcome me
like i am a nobody in your heart
like i am a new stranger
in your town
welcome me like i am a new beginning
that is how i want it
i am a beginning
i am alive
i still want to live by your side
