Where? Poem by Midifo Yearns

I wonder sometimes where we go
to find that road that leads beyond
and underneath the mystery flow
of deeper places in the pond
of life and strife and longing...

I wonder too how many times
we need to lose to gain
the strength to combat crimes
that cause such pain
and undermine the joy of living...

I seek to penetrate and there to touch
the energy that freedom brings
enables love and serves as crutch
to walk in places where heart sings
and tears of joy release in crying...


And so I take in mine the unseen hand
and listen closely to a still and silent voice
that brings to life desires that stand
and move my heart to fresh and glorious choice
to live by simple work and faith-filled praying
