Betrayed
Where I hoped to find comfort.
Abandoned
Where I hoped to find shelter.
Lost
Where I hoped to find direction.

I live a life of twisted tale,
Mangled by my own insecurities.
Left, right, back, front
I search for a way
Up, down
I look for way through.

Hunger
Where I hoped to find fulfillment
Thirst
Where I hoped to find satisfaction
Fear
Where I hoped to find security.

My body aches,
Longing for that remedy
Peace, rest.
Emptiness dominates
And confusion reigns.
My mind runs around and around
In endless circles.

War
Where I hoped to find calm
Hate
Where I hoped to find love
Confusion
Where I hoped to find hope.
