Where Is The Frog's Leg? Poem by Emre Gul

Where Is The Frog's Leg?

I can't look in the mirror with my girlfriend
my hand on his shoulder, his teeth on my neck long forgotten angel of death
My eyes go out so quickly like a cigarette left in water

my darling is boiling herbs in a cauldron
this situation scares me, he mutters something from time to time: where is the frog's leg?
I do not understand her
Like a shadow it gets shorter darling, sometimes the shadow gets longer
sometimes it waits in the water like a plucked flower
my darling swims very well; not drowning
Like the swan's last dance, she wants to dance
I guess he wants to die like a swan
