Where Were You? - Poem by Brandon Gommer
Where were you, when I needed you the most?
I've been looking for you from coast to coast
You say you love me, but how can I believe you?
I think what I need is to look for someone new
Baby you're the reason it rains
You're the reason why I sit in the house and wait
And when the sun, ever so gracefully rose
What is right, is what I know I chose
Being with you was nothing but heart break
I swear you weren't even trying, for god sake
Why are you telling me you have to think about it?
I swear right here is where I'll forever sit
I can't believe getting over you is this hard
I can still remember on my birthday, that awesome card
I'll never forget the best with you, also the worst
It's like I'm trapped here, like it's a mind boggling curse
You will never know how much you really mean to me
By the time you realize you messed up, you will see
How everything in my life is much more clear
Seeing that right now, I just don't need you here.
