Wheres The Emotion? Poem by Dylan Burkhart

Wheres The Emotion?

Our entertainment is watered down
It has become so apathetic
I look around
And it's down right pathetic
Where's the rhetoric
Feel the numbness begin
I almost feel sick
I just want a little emotion

Dreamers get torn apart
Because we actually feel
Destroying our heart
Because our outlook is real
And we refuse to kneel
To the world of apathy
Where no desire is everyone's meal
You've got creative you and me

Some one needs to rise up
Become the imagination
Drink from free thought's cup
And save our numb nation
Sending the train out of the station
Rolling a snowball down a hill
Causing creative inflation
Proposing a brand new bill

My word is law
It's the newest amendment
Ending our fatal flaw
Follow it or repent
Here are the words I sent
We are gonna put emotion out there
And we won't be bent
Because we don't ever scare
