Whether Lost In My Mundane Tasks Poem by Mohammad Younus

Whether Lost In My Mundane Tasks

Whether lost in my mundane tasks,
Or lying in bed, searching for sleep,
I hear whispers—unceasing, ever-present—
Divine intuitions and inspirations.
I resonate with these divine voices.
Celestial music plays behind my closed eyes—
Music uncreated, melodious, divine—
In an unspoken language of words and sounds.
I open my eyes and see the voice originating
From each and every object of creation,
Whether eyes closed or open.
In all forms, singing and speaking—still formless—
Yet beyond my grasp, beyond my understanding.
