Which Path? Poem by Linda May Fox

Which Path?

Life is full of complexities
With its wonders and inspirations
And many paths that twist and turn,
A wealth of avenues to cross and learn.

All around, shifting, changing
Shapes and sizes altering and reflecting
Colours merging, parting,
Sometimes similar, often new things greeting.

As we search from, within, without,
Seeking a way, with no doubt,
Sometimes wandering, wondering
Then stagnating, retreating.

The path of hope is singing, dancing
And cautiously, stepping in time, remembering
Dead ends and icy lakes
Wary of repeat mistakes.

A choice, to a route
Or choosing not,
Spirits dreaming a common goal
Finding different ways to go.

Complexities, inside, outside,
Nothing is sure, no one can tell,
Then, all seems, to be real!

One way is real and so is another,
Complexities, differences, but also similar,
Many paths, many ways, leading to light
Ups and downs, twists and turns to a sight.

The way is wrong, then, is right,
Time is a distance, no end in sight,
Travelling on, first day, then night,
Trusting, not trusting, but onward, ahead.

Sharing, sharing not,
Silently, gently, loudly,
Longing for more, maybe, less
Something to hold, to caress.

Complexities, differences, similarities,
Emerging, revealing, fading, on and on,
But; one aim, one goal, one destination,
Any train, any journey, any station!
