Walking on this path called Life
With so many twists and turns
So much to see, to feel, to learn
Twisting first one way then another
With paths you take for a stroll or some farther
To go or wait, to halt or walk
Will the road continue on or balk?
When at the end and this is through
When every laugh and tear has been shed to
And like the notes of a song
Our footsteps stretch our along
The road we have taken
And play a melody for all men
TO hear and take heart in
What will your song sing, what key will it be in?
Will the notes stand bold and clear
Or tremble in shadow and fear?
But that is at the end of your path
When you have reached the end at last
For now the breath of life surges through you
And there are many paths from which to choose
There is doubt and fear yet also excitement
The paths most trod on or where few have went
There are so many opinions so many views
Of what people think you should do
How lost we should be without a guide
There is only one that holds truth yet so many others have tried
To lead us away with fair words
Or twist what we have heard
To bring fear and doubt in times of silence
To walk in darkness form this point hence
Would be to conform to an others will
The lord of chaos would have his fill
Of glee from ruling us and causing welter
Who shall be our fortress, our shelter
Along the roads
Where centuries of humans have flowed
Which path shall you take
Upon which road shall your eyes awake
Whom shall you serve and adore
Whom shall you worship to your core
You stand a a cross road
Which way will you go?
