While Planting Saplings Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

While Planting Saplings

You give me Sadhu Baba,
It must in the open
And it will take too much of space,
Will do meditation under,
Sadhu Baba, matted and with the rosary
I mean a banyan sapling
To be with flying aerial roots.

Call in the vaidya, the Indian vaidya,
Ghar baithei dotor,
How to be a doctor at home,
Give me the sapling,
The neem tree sapling
To plant.

What remained it?
The rest are there,
Said he.
Again said I comically
Give me the anti-biotic
To increase the immunity.

What will he? ,
Said he to me
And in return I said to,
Send me my Avurvedic doctor,
Doctor Tulsi,
Not Doctor Ginger.

Again asked I to give
The trifala churna packet,
I mean harla, behera and awala plants
To plant in the campus.

Then I asked him to make room for
The meditation place
Required for him,
Who asked he in question
Out of curiosity?

Said I about Buddha,
But startled he to hear
As and when I talked of the peepul tree,
The cool Indian peepul tree
Under which got he enlightenment
To be Gautam Buddha.
