While the mud slowly stiffens Poem by Aase Berg

While the mud slowly stiffens

While the mud slowly stiffens on the table top and
on the woman's body smeared in mud cracks Golem
the intestinal parasite folds out and reaches the stage
Penthesilea difficilis; the blinding, shady and unseen
terminator

Who would never -
repeat, NEVER! -
cut off its right breast
to better carry a weapon

Translation: Johannes Göransson
