Whirling Sufis... And Why Poem by Sumita Jetley

Whirling Sufis... And Why

In the heart of night, under cosmic glow,
A dervish whirls, in rhythms slow and low.
Cloaked in the universe, stars in his eyes,
Dancing with the cosmos, under midnight skies.

Each spin, a prayer, a celestial plea,
A journey within, where the soul flies free.
In the whirl, the secrets of galaxies unfold,
A dance of creation, in patterns bold.

The earth his stage, the heavens his dome,
In each graceful turn, he finds his home.
A story untold, in each swirl and sway,
A tribute to the creator, in his mystical way.

Whispering winds, in this cosmic dance,
Carry his spirit, in trance-like trance.
A journey of love, from the earthly to divine,
In each step, a tale of the timeless and sublime.

So, he whirls with the stars, in a dance so pure,
A Sufi's path, in search of something more.
In the embrace of the universe, vast and deep,
He finds his peace, in a creative leap.
