Whisper Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Whisper

i see nothing here
just a long lost dream from the past.
An ancient memory lingers here.
It means nothing anymore.
You made sure of it before you walked away
This was once a warm place,
sunlit and surrounded by a firery whirlpool
Now you've left it cold, bare and non-existent.
I remember this place being open and trustworthy.
Now it's empty, nothing to be found anywhere.
I remember it being truthfull and loving.
Now i see nothing but lies and hate carved and etched into it's walls.
I remember it being a place for carefree fun, companionship and friends.
Now it has nothing, no friends, no-one to be of company.
All that I see of this place are the four walls that bind it here,
and the whisper of memories that remain,
drowning anyone who gets too close.
