Whisper - Poem by William McGehee

Whisper to her little words,
Whisper soft for her to hear,
Whisper love for only her.

Whisper words that can be heard
And shine like water, crystal clear.
Whisper to her little words.

Whisper words that do not blur,
Words that last for years and years.
Whisper love for only her.

Whisper sweetly as the birds
Sing to draw their loved ones near.
Whisper to her little words.

Whisper words that cause a stir
And quell the rising of her tears.
Whisper love for only her.

When you hold your darling, dear,
Break no promise, be sincere:
Whisper to her little words,
Whisper love for only her.
