White House Correspondent's Dinner 2018 (My Take) Poem by James B. Earley

White House Correspondent's Dinner 2018 (My Take)

"So journalists are willing to demand that a comic hired to roast people apologize but they aren't willing to demand that Trump or his staff apologize to people? " ~Kathy Griffin

Kathy Griffin is right, Wolf's a comedienne, and whether we admit it or not, comedy is indeed truth! None greater vulgarity than an able-bodied man,6 feet plus, reducing himself to a babbling buffoon, when engaging in explicit mockery of the physically challenged. Is it not vulgar, having a nation's president levying spurious innuendoes against an entire race of people, as was viciously espoused during that widely publicized tirade, egged-on in the name of Colin Kaepernick?

When the principal individual (i.e. the president) lacks the courage to appear in person, surrogates by default, are doomed to bare the burden of that notorious lack of fortitude!

Kathy Griffin is right! JBE
