White Roses Poem by Asha Adeana

White Roses

As I sit here laying on the grassing
Thinking about all I wish could come true
All the plans left waiting to unfold
The past left in the dust
Marks left to remind
Just what I had to do just to get to you
The tears left unwiped from my eyes
My smile that now shows
For you I thank
The white roses I stair at in the yard
Laying under the tree that just so tall
Picturing the life I want to lead
But then wake and looking back
Seeing all the pain they all cause
And not knowing because I lie
Saying I’m fine when really I’m not
I’m nothing but a fake! !
For the love I want to share can never be
Just not until I leave
All this pain behind
Breaking away from all the marks
So here I am! Once again
Laying in the grass always in the shade
Under this tall tree picturing my life
With you by my side
And all the white roses left behind
They was just a dream that I always ran to
Just so I could be a little closer to you
