White Skies? Poem by Vera Sidhwa

White Skies?

White Skies?

I went to see the world on my own.
It felt safe and sound.
I saw radiant skies above
The radiance shown all around.

My world was fresh and fancy.
Filled with clouds and trees.
I wanted it to stay that way
But it won't stay.

I pondered who the villians were
You see they were you and me
We were the culture of modernity
Always in a rush and hurry.

I went to see the world on my own.
I felt it in danger and ruins.
Mankind felt like dark skies.
And the darkness shown all around.
