White Wedding Poem by Sarah Holmes

White Wedding

I’m standing at the back,
Waiting for it to begin.
As I walk down the aisle,
My eyes are fixed on him.

I never saw this day,
Running quite like this.
As I say my vows,
And seal them with a kiss.

We walk hand in hand,
Married for life.
I can’t quite believe it,
That I am now his wife.

Dancing to our song,
I’m holding you so tight.
As you whisper softly,
That I’m wonderful tonight.

Our day is almost over,
We have so much to share.
We celebrated our love,
And showed how much we care.

I snuggle up beside you,
Our marriage has just begun.
As we lie close together,
And watch the setting sun.
