Who Am I? Poem by Masala Joseph

Who Am I?

If you ask me who I am i might just say my name, but if my mother didn't label my certificate who would I be then?
If you ask me who I am, i might just say i'm my race, but if you rip off my skin and leaved me in the flesh, who would I be then?
If you ask me who I am, i might just mention i'm beautiful, but beauty has no definition, so who would I be then?
If you ask me who I am, i might just say i'm outgoing, down to earth, and friendly, but those are just adjectives, so who would I be then?
If you ask me who I am, i might just say i'm muslim, but that's just my religion and I can always convert, so who would I be then?
If you ask who I really am, I'd probably be left with no answer...because I'm such a mystery, even I don't know who I am.
