Who Am I? Poem by Rachel Musser

Who Am I?

Rating: 5.0

Thoughts whirling,
head turning.
Going crazy.
So confused, that i'm not.
Who am i?
Only time will tell.
But time doesn't talk, does it?
Who will save me from my confusion?
Spinning faster, Lying down-
brain open to
anyone, everyone.
The other side of me.
Which one is me?
Who do I want to be?
Puzzle pieces scattered, hiding.
Searching under the camoflague-
under the mask of me.
Or is it a mask? Am I a mask?
Is the mask me? Or is it just a mask?
To much to think about-
I am no one.
But no one can't be me!
because then I'm someone.
Lost in the mess-
when will the pieces come together?
On goes the mask-
but the air tingles with the unspoken question,
each breath hints at it.
Its whispered in my ear-
over and over and over-
no escaping in-
Who am I?

My favorite from you! It reminds of skitzophrenic Nathaniel Ayers in The Soloist.
