Who Am I? Poem by Bireswar Halder

I am an orphan of this beautiful earth,
Don`t know anything about my birth,
Who are my parents, where and how?
Wandering but not found them till now.

Always I want to know who am I
Why I was born and why shall I die?
How can I fulfill all my unknown quests?
Where should I go to search my parents?

Without knowing the identity of mine,
I am in the dark pit in confine,
No guide is there to show me the light,
To get rid of blemish which for I fight.

I eagerly wait for your early return,
To have a relief of wounds in turn.
None can heal my melancholy,
Except your love and caress only.

I am sure you must meet me again
I will forget all my grief and pain.
When you wipe out tears with charity
My life will be complete in joy and beauty.
