Who Are We Now? Poem by Nightshade Starlight

We all have our desires,
We all have our fears.
This is where we belong,
This is where we are.
And yet still
There something missing.
There has to be something more.
This can't be our life,
This can't be what we wanted.
It can't be our world.

What happened to fairytales?
What happened to our dreams.
This can't be the end,
Where's all the possibilities?
This is who we want to be,
Where our life is eternaly happy.
Where'd our dream world go?
This can't be the end.
What went wrong?
How could this have happened?

There's no more fairytales,
There's no more happy endings.
We work hard,
We try harder.
As children we pictured
Our own happy world.
Our own happy fairytale.
We forget what we once had,
What we once were.
So who are we now?
