Who Are You? - Poem by Sian Kyle

I am the strange kid who kicks your ass
I am the weird kid at the back of the class
I am the girl with the scowl on her face
I am the freak who won’t keep in her place
This is who I am to you,
The question is; who are you?
I am the ‘geek’ with straight As all round
I am the one with her feet on the ground
I am the girl who is feeble and meek
I am the kid you should never call weak
This is who I am to you,
The question is; who are you?
I am the nice one, with too many friends
I am the girl who gets stick from both ends
I am the kid who tries to help out
I am the one who always has to shout
This is who I am to you,
The question is; who are you?
You are the one who the boys think is hot
You are the cool kid who flaunts what she’s got
You are the girl who thinks she’s all that
You are the bully who I think’s a brat
You think it’s so cool to pick on other kids-
How would you feel if our roles were switched?
Why don’t we swap shoes, just for one day-
Then see if you still think that bullying’s okay.
