Who Are You? Poem by Ray Sinclair

Who Are You?

Who are you?
I am the laughter and joy of babies born.
I am the deep seated pain of a heart that's torn.
I am the soft touch of lips upon a cheek.
I am the proud and fondest words a parent can speak.

I am the butterflies you feel in anxious wait.
I am the the total opposite of all that is hate.
I am the actors emotions who touch from stage.
I am the writers thoughts from pen to page.

I am the artists painting so rich and deep.
I am the lyrics of songs that make you weep.
I am the walk that is timeless, hand in hand.
I am justice for all when no one will stand.

I am the colours of sun set, the moonlit night.
I am the peacemaker long after the fight.
I am the tears that fall beside the grave.
I am the hand that helps, when you need to be brave.

Who am I.....?
I am love.
