Whispering Creek. Poem by Ray Sinclair

Whispering Creek.

Rating: 5.0

On grassy banks young lovers lay,
by sparkling waters, giggling children play.
Sumptuous food, wine to share,
good company, not a troubled care.

Comforting sun lights the hour,
patterned shade beneath the bower.
Ephemeral, time begun to cease,
whispering creek, blissfull peace.

Chorus of Kookaburras sing on cue,
orange, gold pallette, sky filtered hue.
One final hop on stepping stones,
last lingering kiss, time for home.
