Who I Am - Poem by Frans Hendjala

This is who I am..
Feel no shame,
Go ahead and say I’m lame..
Now finding solace in absolute solitude..
Why the sudden change in my attitude?
I guess I found my cruising altitude..

But this is who I am..
Call my name,
Say damn, you’re so lame..
But I’ll no longer keep my soul in captive..
Why should I lead through life like a primitive?
I guess you misunderstood my incentive..

So this is who I am..
The beast that life failed to tame,
Often referred to as lame..
But no longer idle..
Gained enough power to lift my saddle..
All obstacles in my path, I’ll dismantle..

Still wonder who I am..
I’m telling you, I’m still the same..
Same old HF lacking fame..
Yet in life as a college I passed all the courses..
Build tough I’ll survive hater’s curses..
Because to my nation I feel like I’m Moses! .

So here is who I am
Living life as if it is just a game
Though you still feel I’m talking lame
My grounds and standards I’ll always stand
Join in my Chariot, let me take you to the promised land
You needed a king and I’m the perfect kind.
