Who Is She Poem by Dakota Hecht

Who Is She

a girl stands facing a crowd
her qualities show her beauty
on the outside she never felt beautiful

someone once said
her beauty comes from her faithfulness
she stands there virtious, lovely, and honest

those watching are in awe
they listen to her voice as it rings out
thru the room she stood so long ago in white

she would never be here with out
her making the choices she has made
thou shes faltered you can see it was all worth it

those times have shaped her to be who she is
she never thought she could be the girl others seen
and thou others have seen it all along

shes not a girl anymore you can see it in her eyes
shes a woman on her way to her dreams
and who she wants to be

shes been told by many along the way
she will be a strong and faithful woman
she never believed any along the way

shes been called to a greater calling than she understands
others see her as a light burning bright in the night
as she trys to make her way

preparing for a future thats not far from around the corner
and yet everything starts to fade
when i wake up i know
it does not all have to be a dream for that woman will soon be me
