Who Knew? Poem by Madison McGee

Who Knew?

I saw you from across the bar, staring like nothing before.
With just one glance, your smile melted my heart.
Though that glance was all I had, then there you were.
Sitting there waiting, staring.
How could I resist?

I left that night, my spirits held high.
A feeling I couldn't explain.
Never did I see anything more, than that single night.
A night of passion, A night of lust.
Who would of thought?

You are there, and I am here.
Still together we came, strong and willing.
We hold our heads high, as we let our hearts show.
Closed our eyes, and hoped for the best.
Did we do right?

Day by day, our feeling grew.
Holding on tight, for what we think is right.
Not knowing what would happen, with one big leap.
We took one deep breath, and let our feelings show.
I love you.....?

Two seconds, felt like decades.
The silence, went on and on.
Your words, slowly sinking in.
Shaky an scared, I let out a sound.
I love you too...
