Who's Right Poem by Teresa Dearing

Who's Right

If only you thought more like me,
The world would enlight, others would see...
I question your beliefs and your rule
You say, except them, nothinking fool.
I think too much, some of you say,
Why can't you quit thinking and pray.
But whom should I address this prayer to,
My God or yours, or maybe the two.
See, I am never quite as good as you,
No matter how much good I do.
This you believe with all of your might,
Because you know what is just and right.
Yes, you know the score, and you know the drill,
You don't think like me, you must be road kill.
What God taught hate of fellow clan,
None, I know, it is taught by man.
We have issues of home, health, and food,
For fighting and killing, I'm not in the mood.
So to my God and yours, let us each pray,
In peace we work, for yet a better day.
