Who' The Girl In The Mirror Really Is Poem by Rachel Hughes

Who' The Girl In The Mirror Really Is

Eye's they are the window to the soul,
The interior of the inner person, they show.
They reveal what lies inside.
Whether there is light, love or life, or darkness, hatred or pride.

The girl in the mirror, Her too.
Her character, they don't hide.
You can see who she is, by her revealing eye's.
Sometimes she roars like a lion, but she is as gentle as a dove.
Each day she defeats hatred with kindness and love.

She treasures justice and equality, holding them dear to her heart.
And from the golden rule she never parts.
Sometimes she lacks self-esteem, and her confidence subsides.
But she is always humble and never driving by pride.

She has been crushed many times by heavy oppression.
And overtaking by shadows of dark depression.
But she never lets it change who she really is,
because she really knows what love is.

She is color blind,
Her love for others has no limits or boundry lines.
She is a friend, with unconditional love for others.
Regardless of religion, race or color.
Treating her neighbors like sisters and brothers.
As she would have done unto her,
so, she does unto others.

I know who the girl in the mirror really is! ! !
And she knows what love for all humanity really is.
