Why Poem by Bronwen Juniper

Why

Lie beneath the golding tithings of summer barren,
And watch fishes drown beneath silk blue seas,
Where we run past through fields of green,
As Punctual as the spectre of death
We ring the stars, sun, and clouds to warn
That we are youth and this is summer.
The mustard sun scars viciously, the gentle blue sky,
And we watch as sparrow dances in the summer breeze,
And I am the only one who listens to blackbirds gospel, .
I am the only one hears the tune slow: I dream
of the beautiful way that this world spins,
But we do not truly note it's beauty,
Even through the darkest sunshine’s.

Why cannot everyone feel this way?
Why do some people not see the blinding light,
But others do not quit the sunshine and enter the dying of the light,
For within life there is no stone or throne of royalty

That cannot be overthrown,

So why within this beautiful and gorgeous place,

Do you feel desperate urge to commit suicide?
