Why Did Curiosity Kill The Cat? Poem by Renee Alexandria Ho

Why Did Curiosity Kill The Cat?

People can be nosy,
People can be quiet.
Some might not bother,
Some might start riots!
But just out of curiosity,
Why did curiosity kill the cat?
Has anyone ever asked you that?
I don’t think so…
Let’s leave it at that.
I think about it many times
And I say to myself,
‘Just read between the lines.
You’ll be sure to find something,
From time to time.’
Some questions just can’t be answered.
So I go into a deep thought.
Until my train of thought is caught,
By something rather familiarly short.
My cat on my window sill,
Pawing his way through the window grill.
I let him in,
He rubs himself against my shin
And I decide to dropp that thought…
And stroke my cat that’s got polka dots.

Because the Cat likes the sounds on the tin roof.....1 In a lighter vein I'd love to know the answer to the title myself. Smile. Baru Gobira
