Why Do You? - Poem by Hannah Bradford

Why do you judge
Why do you see
Only the color
And not whats inside of me
Why do you hate me
What have i done
Except move to this country
Thinking it was a better one
I love my family
And work just like you
Why do you laugh
And make crude jokes
I wish there was a place
Where no body judged
If you were of different color, race, or tongue

    What very truthful words..
    What do we see..
    laying underneath..
    each word..
    lays bared another soul...iip
