Why Do You Cry
He cries ever so loud when asked -
‘Why do you cry? '
To calm him, how else am I to ask!
There is no other way, you also say.
So be it,
I have asked.
He has stopped
And now stares at me,
As though I was an intruder;
The child in me stopped crying,
Due to a lack of trust in me,
He could not tell me why he cried.
