Why I Smile Poem by Micheal Olaniyi

Why I Smile

I smile for my days to be
long,
with a lingering lasting longlive love seed,
sown in me, long ago,
and now grown and strong,
with firm roots and stems,
sweet fruits and more seeds.
That makes fiends now begrudge me,
my possessions bubble in more consternation,
and frustration in them,
knowing not they've lost connections.

The euphoria is repeated in me,
when i see myself being loved,
like an arrow in the hand of a warrior,
then in me i feel like nothing is ever extinguished,
like an erratic wood,
burning without breaking to coal,
like i have never experience sadness,
my huge happy heart rejoice triumphantly,
i care to know, that's why i am known,
and my smile help amid that.

More friends; more life
most in power; feels better for me,
though i never rely on them,
i live my life to the fullest.
Just a glance is okay,
rather than gazing intently,
into my beatific beamy face,
with my most enchanting smile on,
then you will know why i smile.
