Why I Walked Away Poem by Jerry Abrahamson

Why I Walked Away

The pressure of doing things
When you're growing up
Can be an overwhelming burdin
That one just has to carry

But, most can handle it
And go on with their lives
Like it's part of growing up
It's just the way things are

But, what about the rest
Where the pressure is so great
That all they want is out
That's why I walked away
