Why Me?
Tears fall like rain upon my face,
As sorrow's heavy weight takes its place,
I search for answers, night and day,
But 'why me? ' echoes, with no way.
In darkness, I question fate's design,
Why must I suffer, and feel such pain?
What have I done to deserve this weight?
Why me, Lord, why me, and not another's fate?
Memories haunt, like ghosts in my mind,
Reminding me of joy left behind,
Laughter silenced, love turned to dust,
Leaving me shattered, lost, and unjust.
But still I hold on to hope's thin thread,
A glimmer of light, within my heart's dread,
Perhaps someday, I'll find my way,
And understand why, come what may.
